Frequently asked questions
Where is my data stored?
Everything you enter stays on your device only, in a local database. Jaci has no server and no account system, and none of your entries go online unless you export them yourself. The only thing the app sends on its own is technical diagnostics about itself — speed and errors, with none of what you write. Section 4 of the Privacy Policy explains it.
How do I back up my data?
Go to Profile > Export data to save a copy of everything to a file, using your device's normal share sheet (Files, email, a cloud drive, AirDrop — you choose).
How do I restore from a backup?
Go to Profile > Restore from Backup and pick a previously exported file. This replaces your current data with what's in the backup, so make sure that's what you want first.
Can I delete everything?
Yes — Profile > Delete All Data. This is permanent and cannot be undone, so it's worth exporting a backup first if there's any chance you'll want this data again.
Does Jaci replace medical care?
No. Jaci helps you track and understand your symptoms over time, but it doesn't diagnose anything or replace guidance from a doctor or other healthcare professional.
